Law School Gets in the Way Again

Okay so last night was the world broadcast premier of the new HBO documentary called “The Rivalry.” It was supposed to be an in-depth look at the Michigan – Ohio State game and the history behind it. This is quite a detour from typical HBO documentaries as it was not about the illicit sex practices of dwarfs in Mongolia, an East Coast baseball team that only complete knobs care about, or how a certain baseball team in the National League Central Division never even sniffs a winner but somehow people still get drunk enough to show up to the games.

Now I actually own a different documentary about the very same rivalry and it is very well done. The only problem is that it is like ten years old. The HBO documentary was up-to-date. It covered the time period when I actually attended school and already knew intimately what the rivalry was all about. I mean come on, I could been in it for crying out loud. Since I was quite the BMOC in my day, the odds are that I am definitely in it. Needless to say I was quite excited to see it. The only problem was I had class when it aired. So now I have to pick one of the fifty other times it airs this week to watch it. What a drag. I really wanted to see it the first time.

Law school is many things but kind it is not. When I grow up and start rolling in the Benjamins, I am going to buy the naming rights to one of the towers planned in the Michigan Stadium renovations and name it the “Don’t Ever Go To Law School If You Want To See HBO Documentaries The First Time They Air” Tower.

Go Blue!

PS Blues over the Red Wings last night so, Go Blues!
